Clarrissa Hazel

Clarrissa Hazel, a Caribbean-born preacher’s kid, is a licensed mental health counselor in Florida with a Master’s degree in Counseling. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of the Virgin Islands in 2001 and her Master’s from Barry University in 2004.

After completing her Master’s degree, Clarrissa dedicated fourteen years to working in addiction services. It was during this time that she discovered her passion for providing direct education and support to individuals and families, leading her to obtain her counseling license in 2011. In 2020, she launched her private practice, Simply Complex Therapeutic Services.

With over 18 years of experience, Clarrissa specializes in working with individuals facing addiction, navigating life transitions, and pursuing personal growth. She also supports couples seeking to enhance their relationships and offers supervision to those obtaining hours toward licensure in mental health counseling in Florida.

Clarrissa’s passion lies in helping individuals and families identify their strengths and simplify the complexities that life presents.
